Laura Heuchemer, LPTA
Laura is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with experience in working with a variety of patients including:
- outpatient
- inpatient
- nursing home
- home health
- school children
- pre-school children
In fact, Laura formerly taught preschool and worked in child care with children from 5th grade to newborns. She reports that she loved teaching, but loves working with her patients more.
Since 2006, she has been providing outstanding care to rehabilitation patients at UCGH and has a close bond with them and the Clayton community.
Born in Colorado Springs, CO at the Air Force Academy, she has lived in Florida, Arkansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Her father, a member of the U.S. Air Force, she has also lived overseas in England and Turkey, has witnessed first-hand a military take-over, and experienced multiple cultures and traditions.
She currently lives in Clayton and her sister and her skis live here also. Laura enjoys helping take care of her niece and nephew. In her spare time, she loves to work on her various crafts (she's always working on something).
